slowly...but surely (lentamente...pero seguro)

John' s sweater is taking its time for sure!
So more socks, scarves, hats and berets in my evening hours of knitting.
Well.... good thing my leftovers are finding a good use.

Asi que mas calcetines, bufandas, gorras y boinas en mis horas nocturnas de tejido.
Gracias a ello mis lanas sobrantes encuentran un buen uso.

John' s sweater

A new sweater for John (Un nuevo sueter para John)

Since is cooling a bit our weather, I am in great mood for knitting!

And here is the begining of a sweater for my son, John.

I think is bigger than I can chew TOO MUCH TO COUNT AND COLOUR CHANGE! There are 3 colours and the picture for a beguiner like me is a lot of pain!

Been navy the main colour, I can only knit in daylight, but I hardly have time during the day. So it looks like is going to take a very longggg time this sweater!

But a taurus never quits haha

So the next few weeks my evenings will be for easy, relaxing knitting of beanies, socks and other bits and pieces.

Ya que esta refrescando un poco, ando con muchas ganas de tejer!
Y aqui esta el principio del sueter de mi hijo, John.
Creo que es una labor muy grande para mi. DEMASIADO QUE CONTAR Y CAMBIO DE COLORES! Son 3 colores y el grafico para una principiante como yo es demasiado dolor!
Como el color principal es azul marino, solo puedo tejerlo a la luz del dia pero raras veves tengo tiempo para tejer durante el dia. Asi que parece que este sueter llevara muchoooo tiempo!
Pero una Taurina nunca retrocede jaja
Asi que las proximas semanas, mi tejido de las tardecitas seran mas para gorros, medias y otras cositas.

A new vest for Jimmy (Un nuevo chaleco para Jimmy)

My Jimmy loves vests! In cool days is the first he grabs to put on. A long-sleeves shirt and a vest! That's all! Our weather around here rarely asks for more.

So here's a new vest to add to the many I already knitted for him.

It's an all wool yarn in a denim colour, the stripes in beigge and wooden buttons.

I used the reverse of the stockinnete stitch for the right-side, it has more texture. Jimmy loves it!

Mi Jimmy adora los chalecos!, En dias frios es lo primero que busca para ponerse. Una camisa de mangas largas y un chaleco! Eso es todo!.Por aqui raras veces la temperatura pide por mas.

Asi que aqui esta este otro nuevo chaleco para agregar a los muchos que ya teji para el.

Es de lana en color azul "denim", con rayas beigge y botones de madera.

Use el lado revez del punto Jersey, tiene mas textura.

Jimmy esta muy contento!

My dressing gown (Mi bata de casa)

I had this almost new patchwork-all-wool-big cardigan, chunky and sloppy-huge on me. Not the most elegant thing to wear it out but so warm!!!

I had to do something about it...and after thinking and thinking I decided to converted it in a Dressing Gown, perfect for those cooler days-rarely around here.

To make it easier and faster I used my machine for the large piece of the bottom and all the trim around and cuffs.

I hand- knited a new collar....and here it is ready for the first cold day!

Tenia este enorme cardigan en patchwork, casi nuevo, todo de lana, grueso, flojo y que me quedaba enorme. No lo mas elegante para salir con el pero tan abrigado.
Tenia que hacer algo al respecto.....y asi despues de pensar y pensar, decidi convertirlo en una Bata de Casa, perfecto para esos dias mas frios-raros por aqui.
Para hacerlo mas facil y rapido use mi maquina para la pieza mas grande de abajo y toda la tira de alrededor y los punos.
Teji a mano el nuevo cuello....y aqui estoy lista para el primer dia frio!
