New afghan, Jimmy's cardigan, another quilt and one more sleeper

I need lots of prayers for my mother from all my friends!
She is very sick and I am worry sick for her.
To distract me from my worries I' d been kniting and sewing quite a bit.

At 2 sides I prolonged a bit so will be long enough for the legs.

One of our daughters-Sylvia ( we have 2 daughters and 2 sons)

is coming to visit us in a couple of weeks, so I am getting ready her bedroom.

This patchwork quilt cover is for her bed, when I finish I will show you.

Painful moments for Jimmy every time Council workers trim trees in the footpath. They have a good reason for that, plants should no touch the cables. "But at least they should shape nicely the trees"-Jimmy says.

Momentos dolorosos para Jimmy cada que los trabajadores de la Municipalidad recortan los arboles de las veredas. Tienen una buena razon para hacerlo, las plantas no deben tocar los cables. "Pero al menos deberian darle buena forma a los arboles"-Jimmy dice.

Another zippped up cardi, this time for my son John. And right on time for the first cool days! Will be also possible to wear it inside out thanks to the magic of my circular needles.

Otro cardigan con cierre, esta vez para mi hijo John. Y justo a tiempo para los primeros dias frios! Tambien le sera posible usarlo del revez gracias a la magia de mis agujas circulares.

When I set myself up to sew the zipper I quickly found out how hard is to make  the stripes match in knittings. A lot worse than in a fabric.

Must be because is so stretchy.

Cuando me dispuse a coser el cierre pronto me di cuenta de lo dificil que es hacer coincidir las rayas en los tejidos. Mucho peor que si fuera en tela. Debe ser porque tiene mucha elasticidad.

But everything is possible if we try hard enough!

He wore it a few days ago, and mentioned how soft and warm it was.
So here he is modelling for us (he is too shy, so no head)

Se lo puso hace unos dias y recalco lo suave y abrigado que es.
Aqui esta modelandolo para nosotras (es muy timido el, asi que sin cabeza)

Lately, with these magic sunny days of a perfect 20o (I adore autum!)... I have been walking a lot on the beach, getting on with friends and lots of KNITTING!!!

Here a new vest for me in a gorgeous mix of Alpaca and Merino from Bendigo.

I should have it finish before the end of the week.

Ultimamente, con estos maravillosos dias soleados y una temperatura perfecta de 20 grados (adoro el otono!).....con muchas caminatas en la playa, reuniones con amigos y mucho TEJIDO!!!

Aqui un nuevo chaleco para mi, en una preciosa mezcla de Alpaca y Merino de Bendigo.

Espero tenerlo listo antes del fin de semana.

Blue Multi cables for Jimmy - Azul y multi torzadas para Jimmy

The color was entirely his choice, and I am delighted!. I showed him the color card and I said to him: " pick any color but not a grey, beigge, olive or brown! you have your whole cupboard full of that"
He smiled a bit, and he pointed his finger on this lovely light teal blue (nothing like the picture- I badly need a new camera!)
And about the design ....he said he wanted with a zip and pockets for his keys. That's the way he is, nothing fancy but practical.

I wanted cables, but I already made a few cables for him before (the large type), so I decided for lots of little ones this time.

So I knitted this............

El color fue totalmente su eleccion, y estoy feliz por ello!. Le mostre la carta de colores de lanas  y le dije: "elige un color que no sea gris, beige, olivo o marron! ya tienes tu armario entero lleno de ellos"
Sonrio un poco y apunto con su dedo este hermoso azul acero claro(nada como muestra las fotos- desesperadamente necesito una camara nueva!)
Y respecto al diseno..... dijo que queria con cierre y bolsillos para sus llaves. Asi es el, nada de fantasias, sino practico!
Pense en tejerle con torzadas, pero ya le teji varios con las grandes, asi que decidi por muchas y de las pequenas.

Jimmy' s Cardigan - about time!

I still don' t know why took me so long this cardigan for Jimmy. More than a month!!!
I end up just too late to wear it this year. Warm weather is here and to stay for long long time.
But Jimmy is happy, the main thing.
