I made it a sort of last minute for Christmas, after she saw mine-and liked it.

I love Christmas! I adore everything about Christmas!....well almost everything.
The giving is the best part, but no necesarily the spending, specially this year when money is more scarce.
So it comes handy to make some of the gifts.

finally my craft room is done! - finalmente mi taller esta listo!

Not totally finish, say mostly done, and recycled in every way! Only the venetian of the window is new, apart of that and a few cans of paint costed nothing. I am very proud of that.
And very grateful to my adorable Jimmy who worked so hard to make it possible.

No totalmente acabado, digamos casi todo, y reciclado totalmente. Solo la veneciana de la ventana es nueva, aparte de eso y unas latas de pintura, no ha costado nada. Estoy muy orgullosa de eso.

A new top for Pixi

Pixi is the daughter of my dear friend Olga. Both are very close to my heart.
So for Christmas I knitted this top for her.
The yarn is a lovely mix of 69.6% cotton, 30% wool, 0.4% lycra from Bendigo Yarns, warm enough for our spring in a colour she pick herself.

Pixi es la hija de mi amiga muy querida Olga. Ambas son muy cercanas a mi corazon.
Asi que para Navidad le teji este top para ella.
El hilado es una mezcla muy bonita de 69.6% algodon, 30% lana, 0.4% Licra de Bendigo Yarns, abrigada lo suficiente para nuestra primavera en un color elegido por ella misma.

But.........really, most of my time I spent clearing THAT ROOM!
More than 3 weeks just to have it empty!

There were boxes pile up near the ceiling, and I opened each one to see what was I keeping in them for so long...JUNK! LOTS OF JUNK!!

Habian cajas apiladas casi hasta el techo, y las abri una a una para mirar que estuve guardando en ellas por tanto tiempo.....BASURA! MUCHA BASURA!

After sorting out the "junk", because most was in good condition (nice kind of junk), I send them to Salvation Army.

And now the long -skinny room (about 6x 2 m) is in Jimmy' s hands.

Lots of hammering sounds, turps and paints smell, and some swearing when something is not going well haha.

I just keep smiling and offering lots of cool drinks, plenty of cups of tea, and his favorite dinners. ANYTHING SO HE DOESN' T QUIT!

Soon,( hopefully) should be ready.

Despues de curiosear mi "basura", porque casi todo estaba en buenas condiciones (basura linda), envie todo a Salvation Army.

Y ahora el largo y delgado cuarto (aprox. 6x2 m)esta en manos de Jimmy.

Muchos golpes de martillos, olor a solventes y pinturas, y algunas palabrotas entremedio cuando algo no sale bien jaja

Yo me limito a sonreirle mucho y mimarlo con muchos refrescos, muchas tazitas de te, y sus cenas favoritas. CUALQUIER COSA PERO QUE NO ABANDONE SU TRABAJO!

Pronto (espero) estara listo.

2 cotton tops

I spent the last few weeks jumping from one thing to another!
Spring cleaning my house, some gardening, clearing a lot of junk from a small room next to the garage with the intention of transforming in a hobbies room-this is a big job!, luckily Jimmy is helping.
Is empty at the moment and painting about to start.

Pase unas cuantas semanas saltando de una cosa a otra!
Limpieza primaveral de la casa, algo de jardineria,
tirando y acomodando un monton de cosas guardadas en una pequena habitacion al lado del garage con la intencion de transformarla en habitacion de mis hobbies- un trabajo enorme!, felizmente Jimmy me ayuda.

My knitting and bloging is quite behind, but somehow I managed to do a bit like this other "top to bottom". I' m still in the "outsidedown" mood.
I wanted a loose fitting, but it turned out huge!, so it will go to one of my chubby friends (I have a couple)

Mi tejido y "blogeo" esta algo atrasado, pero de alguna manera pude tejer este otro "arriba para abajo". Todavia sigo con ganas de tejer en "sentido contrario". Queria que me quede flojo, pero termino enorme!, asi que ira para una de mis amigas gorditas (tengo 2)
